Almost complete anthology of Haneke's works till now, except for the ultimate White Ribbon, packaged in a simple boxset.
Haneke radical poetics refers to the roots of psychic violence and delusion in human soul, so his movies have an intimate strenght of persuasion.
Best for those who think that European thought in arts and psychopathology is not dead. Not for bien pensant!.

Michael Haneke is possibly the greatest filmmaker working today and hopefully The White Ribbon will live up to that.

In this boxset (which I don't own) I have seen all of the films other than The Castles, which hasn't been released here until now.Personally, as a massive fan of Haneke's work I am kind of gutted they've brought out The Castle in this box, because I own all of his films.

The only film that is arguably bad (although it's not too bad) is Funny Games U.S., an almost pointless remake with casting that takes you out of the film. Other than that, his filmography is a flawless piece of work. The best of the bunch have to be Time of the Wolf, The Piano Teacher, Hidden and my personal favourite, Code Unknown.

This is a brilliant boxset which I will be purchasing in the future. A master of film and a seemingly brilliant box of cinema that you will revisit over time a lot. Worth every penny.
