 It's Never Too Late to Play the Piano September 6, 2010

I have only used this book for a short period of time and am already attempting to play piano with both hands. It is well written and I have found the CD very helpful, although it is not absolutely necessary if you recognise some of the short tunes she uses as practice exercises. Excellent guide for people who have never played piano before August 3, 2010

I wanted to learn piano when I was younger, yet my family just didn't have the money (what with there being me and my 3 sisters to look after) so the day just didn't come. However, I'm now earning my own money and decided it was time to do something about my desire to learn piano, so I bought this book. Bare in mind, I have never played any piano in my life, so was a little aprehensive as to whether this book would really be any good. Trust me, it is. It gives easy methods from learning sheet music to helping you indentify all the different notes, such as C, D, etc, and what they will look like on a measure. Plus, it comes with a handy little CD with is also really helpful.
Would definitely reccomend, excellent for people who know a little piano and for those who know none at all.

I am quite impressed with this book. Having had lessons many years ago and even then not very good at playing reading music, this book reminded me of what I needed to relearn and practice. It has some pieces that are familiar so you can get back into it more easily. I have not listened to the CD yet just played out of the book. I will be buying more of these books. I am an OAP who has to struggle to make both hands work in diffent times but I am hoping with practice I may yet get there. Has been fun trying anyway.
